BIKES
Bikes are our passion, and we care deeply that you
get what you want when you buy a bike from us.
There are two different ways to go about getting a
new bike. You can buy a complete bike, or buy a frame and choose the
parts to go on it, according to your taste and need.
The first question you need to ask yourself is what
kind of bike you need. Click on the links to go to learn more.
Road: Road
bikes are the sports cars of the bicycle world. They are light, fast
and aggressive and you can cover a lot of ground very quickly on one
of these machines. But their skinny tires and steep geometry means they
like to keep to the pavement.
Mountain Bikes:
If your riding takes you into the woods, chances are you need a mountain
bike. Wide, knobby tires, an upright position and suspension to suck
up the bumps all adds up to a fantastic back-country vehicle. Just don't
ask it to go quickly on the road.
Touring Bikes:
Heading off for a few days loaded down with camping gear can be fun,
but only if you have the right equipment, and that includes your bike.
Touring bikes are specially designed to carry you and your stuff wherever
you want to go.
Hybrid Bikes:
Ride mostly on the road but venture onto gravel and, occasionally, forest
trails? A hybrid bike could fit the bill for you.
Cyclocross Bikes:
Cyclocross is a fast and fun sport that combines some of the best features
of road and mountain bike racing. Ottawa boasts one of the best local
cross series', and to get the most out of it you need a cross machine.
As an added bonus, these bikes can double as a road bike and a light
touring machine.
Build your own bike:
This is the "advanced" level of bike purchasing. Pick a frame
and parts and we'll put 'em together.
