Our sponsors

The Cyclery cycling teams cover everything from elite, international competition to local club racing. The members of the Cyclery cycling team bring together a huge range of experience in the sport, and include some of the most respected people in Ottawa cycling. Among the team members are a former world champion, former national champions, former national team members and former professionals, as well as national and provincial team managers, coaches and mechanics with new riders being added all the time!

But the members of the Cyclery cycling teams are more than just athletes who compete in a wide range of disciplines at the regional, provincial and national levels: they have a wealth of experience from outside the sport. Members include a former bodybuilder and chiropractor, a former semi-professional soccer player, an engineer, a former motocross racer, IT professionals, marketing professionals, a technical writer and a journalist.

As a result, the Cyclery cycling teams are much more than just bike racers. We hope to use our visibility and wide range of backgrounds to help promote the sport of cycling by being mentors and good examples to riders at the grassroots level, by supporting local events and by being positive ambassadors of the sport to the general public.

OUR GOALS

• Support local events by attending them, promoting them and working as volunteers
• Support developing athletes with equipment and through mentoring
• Promote our sponsors to keep them involved in the sport
• Encourage cyclists at the grassroots level by creating a positive, fun atmosphere on training rides and at competitions
• Promote cycling's image through our contacts with the local media
• Have fun and do our best in the sport we love

VIDEOS

The Cyclery also goes overseas. One of our riders is New Zealand national champion Meshy Holt, who just picked up a couple victories in her home country, including the 2010 national time trial championship and the prestigious Lake Taupo race.
